Support from Çates to Young Talents

ÇATES management supported the documentary shooting on "Zonguldak", which also included the Çatalağzı Thermal Power Plant (ÇATES). ÇATES management supported the documentary titled "The Riches of Zonguldak", shot by Zeynep Sünger, a senior student at Çanakkale University Faculty of Communication, Radio, Television and Cinema Department. Part of the shooting of the documentary, which tells the regional history of Zonguldak and includes the contributions of coal to the regional economy, was also shot at ÇATES. The contributions of ÇATES, Turkey's first thermal power plant, to the regional economy were mentioned. Sünger, who shot the documentary, emphasized that his aim was to remind Zonguldak's contributions to the country's economy and said: "I wanted to reflect the almost forgotten culture of this region and to make a note in history of how valuable the gold is here as well as the top of the soil."
