PREPARATIONS FOR ÇATES MEMORIAL FOREST HAVE BEEN COMPLETED
An afforestation cooperation protocol was signed between ÇATES and the Forestry Development and Forest Fire Fighting Services Support Foundation Enterprise (OGEM-VAK). With the protocol signed to combat erosion and increase forest availability, ÇATES Elektrik Üretim A.Ş. A total of 10 thousand saplings will be planted in the afforestation area of Sarıçam Forest Management in Saruhan District of Manisa province, called the Memorial Forest. ÇATES Director Rıdvan Edip Akdeniz said about the commemorative forest that will be planted with the organization in which OGEM-VAK and ÇATES employees will participate together; “While we produce Turkey's energy, we also want to contribute to our country's forest existence. I would also like to thank OGEM-VAK for offering us this opportunity. "I hope we can increase the number of our memorial forests from now on," he said. The tree planting event is planned to be held in March.
