Coastal Cleaning was Done in Çates

Within the scope of Environment Week, coastal cleaning was carried out with the participation of volunteers at ÇATES (Çatalağzı Thermal Power Plant). In the event supported by ÇATES Power Plant Directorate, employees voluntarily carried out coastal cleaning at ÇATES. The garbage coming with the waves on the shore was collected and landscaping was also done. The environmental cleaning event organized by Chief Environmental Engineer Sonay Öztürk was met with interest among the employees. The importance of recycling plastic waste was also emphasized by sending plastic waste for recycling during the coastal cleaning, in which many employees participated. Ozturk; "Actually, we do this kind of work from time to time, the important thing is to spread environmental cleanliness throughout the society," he said. At the event, participants were given pens with seeds as gifts to leave a legacy to nature.
